Online Support Group

About the event

This ONLINE support group will help pregnant women in navigating the emotional challenges and impact that COVID19 is having on them during their pregnancy.

This group will provide women with support and space to process their emotions and learn how to cope with anxiety. It will also provide women with practical and therapeutic strategies to help prepare for their delivery amidst this global pandemic.

The group is closed, meaning it will be the same women each week. It will be six weeks in length and will be 75 mins (with time for 90 minutes if we need longer). The group will begin May 23 and will go each Saturday morning until June 27, 2020. Given the nature of the group there will be no make up sessions for missed dates.

The needs of the group will be assessed and relevant topics will be discussed each week. Topics may include:

- Preparation for delivery amidst the pandemic

- Anxiety 101: what is anxiety, anxiety management tools

- Postpartum planning: how to set up for success

- Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders 101

- Boundary Setting & Relationships

Group cost is $39/session (total $234 for 8 hours of therapy)! Payment will be collected to reserve your spot in the group!

The group will require 5 participants minimum to proceed and will be capped at 12 people to ensure everyone has adequate time each session to participate.

If you have any additional questions regarding group please contact Chelsea at info@villagetherapy.ca or by telephone at 587-223-7973.

Can't wait to help support you and connect you with likeminded women!
